About the Author

Hi, this is Geetha. I am a creative do-it-yourselfer (DIYer) and an Art Instructor from Chennai, living in Dallas, Texas.

I have always loved all things related to pen and fancy paper. I am a self taught paper crafter with a lot of interest in creating greeting cards, scrapbooks and embellishments. I also have a lot of interest in painting. I am good in Kerala Mural Painting, Madhubani Painting, Acrylic Painting on Canvas and Fabric Painting.

I gave up on my full-time job as a Software Engineer in 2015 (the one that I held on for more than 8 years) to pursue my passion and interest in arts and crafts. I started this blog.

I have since used this blog to post and share ideas that I come up with. It has also tremendously changed the way I look at my daily moments. Even the usual day-to-day things that I would casually go about doing have now opened up a lot of ideas. A lot of my crafts are based on usual things such as fruits, birds & animals, important occasions (mothers days, women’s day), etc.

If you looked at it, my entire family has had a lot of interest in designing and arts. My mother loves to crochet and knit. My elder sister is a multifaceted artist herself and is the founder of Varnam Art Class. I also have an elder brother who is an Art Director by profession. So, it is safe to say that ‘creativity’ runs within the family.

So, there you have it. The story behind me and this blog.
