Varnam Art Show Inauguration

Varnam’s 2nd Annual Art Show was held on February 1st, 2014 at C.P. Arts Centre, Alwarpet, Chennai.
Inauguration Chief Guest: Mr. Karthik Raja (Music Director)
Judge: Mrs. Roja Sasikumar

The Art Show brought together a collection of artwork done by 57 budding artists, all students of Varnam. Renowned music director and keen art enthusiast Mr. Karthik Raja was the chief guest. He inaugurated the art show with a ribbon cutting ceremony to the cheers of all the visitors gathered. It was a welcoming sight to see Mr. Karthik and his family, as they went around the gallery and viewed all the exhibits with genuine appreciation. The students of Varnam presented Mr. Karthik a small memento and thanked him for his gracious presence.

The best entries in eight different age categories was judged by Mrs. Roja Sasikumar. She was amazed by the sheer quality and talent on display by the students and genuinely felt that all the entries deserved high praise.

Thanks to all the students, parents, friends and families for attending the show and making it a resounding success. Thanks to Arun for photo coverage of the event. Thanks to Nanditha for volunteering and helping throughout the show.

Special thanks to Mr. Karthik Raja and Mrs. Roja Sasikumar for taking time from their busy schedule and making this show a huge success.

Varnam – Inaugural Art Show

Varnam Art Show‘Varnam’ an art class conducted by Mrs. Jaya S. Raja, in Mahalingapuram, Chennai hosted their inaugural art show on March 10th 2013 at Dyna World, T.Nagar, Chennai.

46 students of ‘Varnam’ enthusiastically participated in the art show. Every student was eager to showcase their talent in a public forum and started creating their art work well in advance to the art show. Each student’s unique creativity and skills were brought to the forefront, which is reflected in each of their artwork. Their true ‘Masterpieces’ indeed!

The art show was a low-key event attended by friends and families of the students. The artwork were displayed in 9 categories – LKG, UKG, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th-8th Standards. Ms. Sindhu Suresh, Chief Operations Officer, Citidale Educations, Chennai graciously accepted to judge the best entries in each category.

Mr. Prasad and Mrs. Nirupa Prasad of Dyna World graciously provided the premises for the Art show and lent their support throughout the show.

All participants received certificates and a medal. The best entrants received a Cup.
